D.A.L. Makeovers helps improve employment outcomes for the homeless and at risk youth in the Dallas Fort WorthMetroplex through makeovers and youth vocational hairdressing education.
improve employment outcomes for the homeless
We work with homeless individuals transitioning out of homelessness who are ready or in the process of applying for employment. During the makeover, our team of volunteers and youth trainees provide haircuts, shaves for the individual, and fundraise to acquire a professional wardrobe
for the individual.
Youth vocational hairdressing education
The youth trainees that participate in the program are at risk youth recruited from the community who are also participating in the vocational hairdressing education courses provided by D.A.L Makeovers. We partner with staff from Hott Handz Salon who provide hands on training and education on hair salon operations and the art of hairdressing.
